The WCS Board of Directors, which oversees the school, is made up of elected individuals who have demonstrated a strong commitment to WCS. The primary focus of the Board is to provide the stability and resources necessary for the school to effectively fulfill its mission over time. The Board also nominates new board members to serve the school and oversees and evaluates the work of the Headmaster.
The work of the Board is primarily accomplished through various committees, which report to the full board on a regular basis. The Board meets monthly to receive reports and to make decisions on Board-level issues. Board members regularly contribute their time, talents, and other resources to advance the mission of WCS.

Meet Our Board of Directors
CHRIS DITO
Reverend Chris Dito serves as the Lead Pastor of Parkview Assembly of God and is also the founder of the Delaware Regional Dream Center in Newark. He and his wife have a high school daughter who has been attending WCS since 2015, and he has served on the Board of Directors since 2019. "I am passionate about developing the next generation of Christian leaders who infuse Christ-centered values into our culture," he affirms. Reverend Dito serves on the New Castle County Evangelical Ministers Fellowship Leadership team and is also the Delaware State Coordinator for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. |
BRETT DORSCH, TREASURER
Brett Dorsch is the owner of Delmarva Wireless and ReThink Wellness, with locations in the United States and Great Britain. He has a long history with Wilmington Christian School, attending WCS as an elementary student, having his own three children graduate from WCS, and now seeing his grandchildren enrolled. Brett says, "I love serving on the Board and being part of the future as we seek God's vision and desire for the school. WCS has a special place in my heart." He has been serving on the Board since 2017. |
DANIEL KEEVER
Daniel Keever is a 2014 graduate of WCS and has been a partner in helping to shape the school's online marketing strategy. Dan is the owner of Advantage Marketing and is married to Madeline. The Keevers are active on the worship team, in youth ministry, and as Bible study teachers at Trinity Community Church in Hockessin . Daniel joined the Board in 2022. |
MICHELLE MATTHEWS
Michelle Matthews and her family have been a part of the Wilmington Christian School family for 13 years, and she has served on the Board of Trustees since 2019. Retired from her position as Social Work Administrator for the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency, Michelle says, "I have been blessed to be able to serve and honor God's calling on my life to assist my fellow team members in supporting Dr. Erdvig's vision for WCS and assist in creating an environment that provides our community with a Biblical worldview that prepares students to impact the world for Christ." |
KEVIN SCHNEIDER
Kevin Schneider is a local small business owner and 1999 graduate of Wilmington Christian School. Kevin and his wife, Kelly (WCS '00), have three children at WCS and are thankful for the multi-generational impact the school has had on their family. Kevin is a graduate of Messiah College and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. He joined the Board in 2021. |
TYRONE THOMPSON
Tyrone Thompson is the father of WCS alumna Ivanna ('20). He and his wife Renee have been faithful WCS parents, volunteering and supporting the school throughout Ivanna's time at WCS. As a teacher in a local school, Tyrone offers a wealth of educational experience to the Board. The Thompson family is worships at Union Baptist Temple, where Tyrone serves as an associate minister. He and Renee also lead Bible studies and work in the church's marriage ministry. |
CHRISTOPHER VINCENT
Chris Vincent is a financial advisor and member of the team at Covenant Wealth Strategies in Wilmington, joining the Board in 2019. He attended Delaware County Christian School, Messiah College, and is a life-long advocate for Christian education. He is the parent of three current Wilmington Christian School students, and is married to a WCS alumna. |
Becoming a member of the WCS Board of Directors
Interested individuals are welcome to inquire about serving on the WCS Board of Directors. Annually, the process of board-member recruitment begins in the fall and includes a written application, an interview with current board members, recommendation by the full board, and ultimately a vote of affirmation by the WCS Corporate Membership in the spring.
The board is always seeking for candidates who have a demonstrated commitment to the long-term success of WCS, who possess strategic governance skills and abilities, who are fully committed to the WCS Mission and Statement of Faith, and who are active in a local church which agrees with the WCS Statement of Faith.
