Employment Opportunities

Wilmington Christian School is always looking to connect with individuals who are interested in joining our team. Our mission is to teach students to grow in Christian character, to excel in academic proficiency, and to foster mentoring relationships—all on the foundation of Biblical truth. If you are a faithful disciple of Jesus, have a heart for mentoring young Godly influencers, are active in a local Bible-believing church, and hold the necessary professional qualifications, we want to talk with you. In addition to position-specific qualifications, all employees at WCS must be in full agreement with WCS's Statement of Faith.
 
Listed below are current openings for which we are seeking candidates. If there are no openings that fit your qualifications, we would still love to hear from you. Wilmington Christian School is committed to the protection of our students. Current Openings​:

Early Learning Center Teacher - 2022-23 School Year
This is a full-time ELC faculty position that involves planning and delivering high-quality lessons to WCS's youngest learners. Ideal candidates will have at least a bachelors degree and successful experience teaching preschool students. To express interest in the position, email a cover letter and resume to Gwen Campbell, Lower School Principal. Early Learning Center Aides - 2022-23 School Year
Ideal candidates to work in our Early Learning Center will have a well-developed Biblical worldview, a passion to love and serve little learners, and an ability to work well with others. Several different positions are open, with various weekly schedules. To express interest in the position, email a cover letter and resume to Gwen Campbell, Lower School Principal. Cover letter must include a brief statement of personal faith and local church involvement.

Upper School Spanish Teacher - 2022-23 School Year
Ideal candidates will have a well-developed Biblical worldview, a bachelors degree (minimum), and classroom teaching experience. WCS is open to international applicants who are fluent in English and who speak Spanish as their first language. Help with housing arrangements may be available for international applicants. To express interest in the position, email a cover letter and resume to Doug Haas, Upper School Principal. Upper School Business Teacher - 2022-23 School Year
This is a full-time upper school faculty position that involves teaching accounting and economics courses as well as business electives. The Business Instructor will also work with students to develop and manage a campus-based business and arrange and support student internships with local businesses. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of successful business leadership experience, a commitment to mentoring students, and a diverse set of business competencies. Business Office Assistant 
The Business Office Assistant works closely with the Associate Headmaster to fulfill all projects of the WCS Business Office. Ideal candidates for this position will have extensive experience in not-for-profit or school financial management and advanced competencies in MS Office, QuickBooks, and various web-based management tools. For a complete job description, click here. Opening is immediate, but WCS expects to fill this position no later than July 1, 2022. Coaching Opportunities
Wilmington Christian School is seeking a qualified coach for Middle School Boys Soccer (practices take place from 2:00 - 3:15 pm). Applicants should submit a letter of interest and resume to Jay Fetterman, Athletic Director, at jfetterman@wilmingtonchristian.org. The letter of interest must include a brief statement of personal faith in Christ and must identify local church involvement.

Substitute Teachers
Wilmington Christian School is seeking substitute teachers to work in the absence of a regular teacher or staff member.  This person will be responsible for following instructions and/or lesson plans and to ensure a positive and effective environment for students.  Experience as a substitute or a background in education is preferred.  All interested candidates must have and be able to share their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  If you are well-organized, have a love for children, and enjoy being a part of a school community, submit a letter of interest and a current resume to Gwen Campbell, gcampbell@wilmingtonchristian.org or Doug Haas, dhaas@wilmingtonchristian.org.

Substitute Nurse
WCS is seeking qualified substitute nurses for our school health office.  Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited RN program and hold a Delaware RN license.  A working knowledge of established professional nursing concepts, principles of practices, and an ability to determine and assess medical needs are essential for this position.  The hours are 8:00 AM to 2:45 PM, as needed.  Nurses who love school-age students and have a commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ should send a resume and letter of interest to Gwen Campbell, gcampbell@wilmingtonchristian.org.
