“. . . and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” – Jesus, in Acts 1:8 This month, Christ-followers around the world celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of our Savior. Here at Wilmington Christian School that message rings forth faithfully each day in the classrooms, hallways, fine arts spaces, athletic arenas, and the surrounding community. Our students are learning who God is and who He created them to be and sharing that truth with those in their spheres of influence. This month, Christ-followers around the world celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of our Savior. Here at Wilmington Christian School that message rings forth faithfully each day in the classrooms, hallways, fine arts spaces, athletic arenas, and the surrounding community. Our students are learning who God is and who He created them to be and sharing that truth with those in their spheres of influence.
For example, we began this month with a phenomenal musical production where our students used their dramatic skills, musical talent, and technical expertise to bring God glory on the stage. Our student-athletes are using their bodies and teamwork skills on the fields and competition tracks to shine a light on the Creator. Tomorrow, 19 WCS students are boarding a plane and taking their love for Christ across the ocean to Nairobi, Kenya to serve at Happy Life Mission. This is Christ’s love lived out in real-world ways. And our WCS alumni are taking the seeds of God’s truth, planted in their hearts and minds by faithful teachers years ago, and serving the Lord in all manner of vocations and careers. Including our Distinguished Aluma of the Year, Jamie Steury (''15), who is moving to Zambia to help lead another Christian school. Christ died so that we could live. Christ arose, enabling our resurrection to new life. And Christ is calling each of us and–our students–to live and proclaim that message every day, here in Hockessin and around His world!
